Art Overview 4/15-4/19
K -Intro to 3D and paper art – 3D caterpillar. Students will cut and fold paper following a series of directions to create their caterpillar.
1st- Intro to 3D and paper art – 3D caterpillar. Students will cut and fold paper following a series of directions to create their caterpillar.
2nd – Students will draw a red bellied woodpecker using step by step directions. These will be finished using tempera paints. .
3rd – Watercolor Dragons. Students will draw a dragon either from step by step directions or on their own. These will be outlined with crayons for a wax resist and then painted with watercolor.
4th – Daffodil paintings. Students will create painted paper using brushes and other texture tools. Then draw daffodils, steams and leaves with oil pastels, cut out and glue on background paper.
5th – Oragami flowers
6th grade – Creating with clay. Students will use clay slabs to create lanterns. Focus on positive and negative space.
7/8th- Clay- Students will create coil pots, smoothing the coils on the inside and outside so the vessel will hold water.
Murals- Students will continue painting, chalking, and sketching murals
