Visitors to the Schools
All visitors to schools must verify who they are and their purpose of being in a school. School officials, parents of school children and other Pocahontas County officials will be welcomed in a cordial manner. Anyone appearing on a school campus who does not meet the criteria indicated above will be required to get written permission from the Superintendent’s office in order to visit a school. All school visitors must report to the principal’s office upon entering the building. All visitors are asked to sign in and obtain a visitor’s pass or ID.
Each principal should inform all teachers of this policy so that they may assist in helping to enforce this regulation. Principals and teachers should use discretion while enforcing this policy and be polite and courteous in dealing with any visitor.
