PARTNERSHIPS IN EDUCATION

The Pocahontas County Board of Education recognizes that education must be a joint venture between schools and communities and that schools are an integral part of every community are a key element in economic growth and that everyone has a stake in quality education. Programs are needed which bring business and schools together in a working partnership. The Pocahontas County Board of Education supports, endorses and encourages the development of and implementation of partnerships in education between schools and business. The resulting partnerships can have positive effects on both education and business. No partnership, however, will be sought or accepted from any business primarily engaged in the production, distribution or sale of tobacco products or alcoholic beverages.
